I'm Billy, a parent in Redmond, Washington. I built Pick My Costume for my 3-year-old, because every October I watched parents (myself included) panic-buy costumes the week before Halloween, when the good ones were already sold out or overpriced. Every costume on this site is written against a real materials list. If it says you need a cardboard box and paint, that's what you need.
The photos are AI-generated concept images to show what each costume looks like, except where marked as a real build photo. When I photograph a real costume I've built, I'll label it.
