A pillowcase cape and a big foam letter of your first initial on the chest. Every kid's first superhero identity. Fifteen minutes, easy: an old pillowcase or t-shirt for the cape, a solid-color t-shirt, and cardstock or a foam letter. Let them pick the letter themselves; ownership is the whole costume.

Common questions
How long should a kid superhero cape be?
Waist length for under-6s (no tripping), mid-back for older kids. When in doubt, cut long and trim after they try it on.
How do you attach a cape without sewing?
Thread ribbon through the top corners and tie a loose quick-release bow at the front of the neck. Never tie it tight, it must pull free.
