Dressed head to toe in black with a belt sash and a slit headband. The headband slit is what makes it ninja instead of burglar. Ten minutes, easy: an all-black outfit with a beanie, a black belt or sash, and a black headband. Cut the eye slit narrow; wide slits read as blindfold.

Common questions
How do you wrap the headband so it is safe?
Wrap it above the eyes on the forehead and tie it at the back with a quick-release knot. Eyes and mouth stay completely uncovered, vision first, costume second.
Do I need the face paint stripe?
No. The all-black outfit plus the forehead wrap already reads as ninja. The stripe is a nice touch for photos but skip it for kids who rub their faces.
