  5. Cut eye holes in the small boxes for heads.
  6. Wrap every box in aluminum foil.
  7. Tape the foil down.
  8. Draw dials and gauges on the chest with the black marker.
  9. Tape the plastic bottle caps next to the dials as buttons.
  10. Wrap leftover foil around each arm, wrist to shoulder.
  11. Tape the ends.
  12. Or cut the armholes big enough to slide bare arms through.
  13. Each person slides into a torso box.
  14. Hold or tie the small box on the head.
  15. Tie the elastic string under the chin to keep the head box on.
  16. Crack a glow stick.
  17. Tape it to the chest as a power light.

Common questions

How do you keep a robot crew looking like a crew?

Same silver, same box proportions, different button layouts. Uniform base plus unique details, that is the crew formula.

What is the best robot crew move?

Move in sync, stop, turn heads together, beep in unison. Synchronized robots are ten times funnier than individual robots.
