A white trash bag over a cardboard tube with a brown lid hat. The takeout cup, human-sized. Twenty minutes, easy: a white trash bag or white sheet, a cardboard tube or large cylinder, and brown paper or felt for the lid. The lid hat should sit tilted; straight lids look like helmets.

Steps
- Cut the arm holes first.
- Then cut the head hole small.
- Stretch the bag over the head to test before cutting bigger.
- Cut the holes in the white trash bag for head and arms.
- This is the cup.
- A head hole cut too big slides off the shoulders.
- Draw a coffee shop logo on the front with brown marker.
- Make the lid: cut a brown paper circle bigger than your head, with a sip hole.
- Wear the bag.
- Put the lid hat on top.
- Optional pro finish: cut a cardboard sleeve, write a coffee-shop pun on it, and tape it around the torso.

How do you keep a trash-bag costume from looking like a trash bag?
The lid and the logo do all the work. A brown lid hat plus a big drawn logo reads as coffee cup; without them it reads as trash bag.
Is a trash bag safe to wear?
Cut generous head and arm holes before putting it on, never pull it over the face, and keep it away from very small children. A white sheet is the safer alternative for toddlers.
