Tip: glue a few popcorn pieces to the rim, like it is overflowing.

Steps

  1. Cut the head and arm holes small first.
  2. Test the fit.
  3. Holes cut too big cannot be shrunk.
  4. Tape the inside edges of the holes so the cardboard does not scratch.
  5. Blow up the yellow or white balloons.
  6. Tie them in a cluster.
  7. Tie the cluster to a string ring on top of the box.
  8. Step into the box.
  9. Pull the string straps over your shoulders.
  10. Carry the popcorn crown carefully through doorways.
  11. Optional pro finish: glue a few popcorn pieces to the rim, like it is overflowing.

Common questions

Balloons or tissue paper for the popcorn?

Tissue paper, crumpled white tissue looks like popcorn and weighs nothing. Balloons pop and squeak all night.

How do you wear the bucket?

Cut the bottom out and wear it like a tunic: head through the top, arms through side holes. The popcorn sits on your shoulders like you are the bucket.
